For the second year running, SALCO was happy to present a gift of 300 books to The Salvation Army children’s homes located in Kuching. The second-hand and still in very good condition children’s books were collected from staff of Rio Tinto Alcan and couriered over from the Brisbane office. The hand-over to The Salvation Army was led by Greg Rashford, Acting CEO of SALCO (pictured 4th left), in Kuching on 18 August 2009. Nella Rajamanikum, The Home’s Administrative Assistant (3rd right) received the books on behalf of the 80 boys and girls under the age of 18 years residing at The Salvation Army’s two homes in Kuching. |
